Out of the distance Aleka Hominga appears and shakes Hamil’s hand. Hominga: Ready to get to business? Hamil: Yes, I am. (Hominga pulls out paper and points and explains some business, then fades out) In Phillips, Maine, there’s a town hall meeting with the mayor Lee, Mark Jackson, and the whole town. Lee: …So the financial business in food is surprisingly low, so we should spend less on the water tower and more on crops to grow. (Town objects) Lee (angrily): Okay, so what are you proposing, since all your ideas are so much better than mine. Town Man 1: Well, I think we should… (Gunshot) (Town man 1 goes flying with a bullet going through him. Town panics.) (More gunshots, many people dying) (People taking cover, few surviving) (Audio fades; silent gunshots) (Criminal disappearing) (Back in Russia) Hominga: So if we put it this way… (Phone ringing) Hamil: Excuse me a second. (Answers phone) Hamil: Hello? Jackson (panicky): There have been multiple gunshots and 3/4ths of our people have been injured or have been murdered! Hamil: Wait, wait, wait… Why would a single criminal attack a little town like Phillips? Jackson: I don’t know, man. But it happened. We need you to come back immediately. Hamil: Okay, I’ll be right there. (Gets off plane and then walks into CIA building) Hamil: Okay. Why the heck did this happen. Jackson: Maybe people found out we were hiding here. Hamil: Yeah, but why would the criminal attack innocent people? Jackson: Listen, man, I really don’t know. That’s what we are gonna find out. (End of part 1) 10 Minutes
(Part 2) (Fire Hall Meeting with Mayor Lee, Mark Jackson, and Hank Hamil) Lee: So, Mark, you’re going to find out exactly why and how this happened. Hamil: Pardon me interrupting, but we actually do know how it happened. A criminal charged and killed 76 people and severely injured 64 citizens who are currently in the hospital. Jackson: Hey, smart aleck. Shut it, ok? (Mayor Lee sobbing) Lee (through tears): I shouldn’t have let this criminal kill my people. This is all my fault. Hamil: No, it’s not. It’s my fault for not being here to stop it. (Next scene in church) Priest: For next ward business we plan to sustain Mayor Lee to Primary Teacher. Those in favor will you please manifest it. (People raise hands) Priest: Also those who oppose may also manifest it. (No one raises hands) Priest: Good. (Outside church) Jackson (to Hamil): Hank, we need you to come in at 7:00 tonight. Hamil: Why? Jackson: Just get dressed, eat dinner, and do whatever until 7:00, okay? Hamil: Sure. (Gunshot; everyone panics) (Hamil takes cover in front of a car) (More gunshots; few hitting people) (Criminal takes out shotgun) (Hamil runs to his car and takes a gun out) (Big shootout) (Criminal escapes)
